Project Description

This Environmental Assessment (EA) documents the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Oklahoma 
Field Office (OFO) review of 10 parcels (608.34 acres) nominated for auction in the OFO August 2020, 
Competitive Oil and Gas Lease Sale (the Proposed Action). The nominated parcels are located in the 
Texas counties of Washington, Lee, and Denton, as well as the Oklahoma counties of Custer, Ellis, and 
Dewey. Of these 10 parcels, two contain private surface, and eight have surface managed by the U.S. 
Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). For detailed information on the leasing process, see the following
