Project Description

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Lakeview Field Office is proposing to authorize the issuance of Special Recreation Permits (SRPs) for Crash Recovery, Safety and Guiding Permits activities on BLM-administered lands. This proposed action would apply to all SRP applicants seeking to operate at the Christmas Valley Sand Dunes and the Lost Forest. The purpose of this action is to provide quality recreation and educational opportunities on public land that serve visitors lacking the skill or equipment necessary to otherwise participate. SRP would authorize up to 15 outfitters guides consisting of no more than 11 vehicles per company per day.
