Project Description

The Project is a proposal by Corvus Gold Nevada, Inc. to construct, operate, reclaim, and close a surface gold mining operation and associated ancillary facilities known as the North Bullfrog Mine Project (Project) in Nye County, Nevada. The proposed Project is located approximately nine miles north of Beatty’s main population center. The proposed Project area encompasses approximately 6,298 acres. The total disturbance associated with the proposed Project would be 3,518.4 acres, which includes 82 acres of existing/acknowledged exploration, occurring on 61.2 acres of BLM-administered public lands and 20.8 acres of private lands. Total new surface disturbance would be 3,436.4 acres and occurs on 3,077.2 acres of BLM-administered public lands and 359.2 acres of private land.

What's New

The North Bullfrog Mine Project Draft Environmental Impact Statement document is available for comment. Comments may be submitted online through this webpage using the Participate Now link. The public comment period is 30 days and will close on May 8, 2026.

A Zoom virtual public meeting is scheduled for May 13, 2026 at 6 p.m. and an in-person public meeting is scheduled for May 27, 2026 at 6 p.m. in Beatty, Nevada at the Beatty Community Center. Both meetings are Pacific Daylight Time. Please see the How to Get Involved Link for more Information.

The BLM conducted two online public scoping meetings that provided an overview of the proposed Project, including the organization of the North Bullfrog Mine Project Draft Environmental Impact Statement document. Two virtual, online public scoping meetings were held on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 5:00 pm Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) and Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 2:00 pm PDT.

The formal public scoping period was April 09, 2024 through May 10, 2024.
