What's New

The BLM has updated the Environmental Assessment (EA) based on public comments received. The EA and draft Finding of No Significant Impact for the 2026 Competitve Oil & Gas Lease Sale can be found using the Documents link.

 The Nevada State Office will post a Sale Notice on October 9, which starts the Notice of Competitive Lease Sale (NCLS) and 30-day protest period, ending on Nobember 9, 2026.

The Bureau of Land Management, Battle Mountain District is considering three parcels for leasing in the December 2026 Oil & Gas Competitive Lease Sale.

 The public comment period was August 4 to September 3, 2026. The comment period has closed. Thank you to those who participated. 

The scoping period was from May 4, 2026 to June 3, 2026. The scoping period has closed.
