Project Description

The Nevada State Office (NVSO) will conduct a Competitive Oil and Gas Lease Sale on December 9, 2026. There are 3 nominated parcels located within the Battle Mountain District, containing a total of 2,642.27 acres.  Oil and gas leases are issued for a 10-year period and continue for as long thereafter as oil or gas is produced in paying quantities.

What's New

The Bureau of Land Management, Battle Mountain District is considering three parcels for leasing in the December 2026 Oil & Gas Competitive Lease Sale.

A public comment period will begin on August 4 and end on September 3, 2026. Comments must be submitted through the Participate Now link.
