Project Description

The following components of the Green Chile Natural Gasline Project constitute the Proposed Action evaluated in detail in this EA:
•	Construction, operation, and maintenance of approximately 16 miles of a new 24-inch-diameter buried natural gas pipeline across BLM-administered public lands.
•	Issuance of a 50-foot-wide permanent ROW and associated temporary construction workspace on BLM lands necessary for pipeline installation, restoration, and long-term operation.
•	Authorization of ground-disturbing activities, trenching, backfilling, restoration, and reclamation within the BLM-administered ROW.
•	Authorization of special construction techniques (e.g., horizontal directional drilling) where those techniques occur on BLM-administered lands.
•	Temporary linear construction work area 16-mile-long, by 30-foot wide adjacent to the permanent ROW, consisting of approximately 58.19 acres.
•	Twelve pipeline Additional Temporary Workspaces (ATWS) adjacent to temporary linear ROW, consisting of a total of 2.84 acres.
