What's New
Whats New - Letz Ride Environmental Assessment The Letz Ride Timber Sale, based onthe Letz Ride Environemental Assessment, has been sold and logging operations have started. Please see the Active Operations Map (located in the maps section of this website) for information on open and closed areas within the Carpenter Bypass Mountain Bike Trail Extensive Recreation Management Area. If you have any questions concerning open and closed areas, from logging operations, please contact Wade Judy at 541-683-6457. The Letz Ride Environmental Assessment (EA) encompasses portions of three sections located in the Oregon Coast Range. Forest management (FM) actions on approximately 854 acres are being analyzed in this EA in Matrix (Connectivity) and Riparian Reserve land use allocations as described in the 1995 Resource Management Plan (RMP), these lands are designated as Late Successional Reserve and Riparian Reserve under the 2016 RMP. Forest management actions include density management thinning, road building, road renovation, logging systems and road decommissioning. The area also overlaps the Carpenter Bypass non-motorized trail system which is an active trail system used by mountain bikers and equestrians, and is also used by trail runners and hikers.
