(Oxy) has filed or will file 44 Applications for Permit to Drill (APDs) with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Carlsbad Field Office (CFO) for the construction, drilling, operation, and final abandonment of 44 oil wells, with four associated well pads, three well pad extensions, two centralized gas lift (CGL) pads, and other associated infrastructure for the Nimitz 12-1 Federal Com 11H-14H, 21H–26H, 41H-46H, 171H–176H and Nimitz 13 Federal Com 11H-14H, 21H–26H, 41H-46H, 171H–176H Oil Wells Project (Proposed Action, or project). Oxy’s objective is to safely and efficiently gather oil, natural gas, and produced water from the leases.
