Project Description

The Adobe Hills and Jackstone allotments are located north of Elko, NV. Combined, the allotments include approximately 28,686 acres of public land and 22,728 acres of private land divided into 10 pastures (2 in Jackstone and 8 in Adobe Hills). Both allotments include perennial streams occupied by Lahontan Cutthroat Trout which are currently listed as threatened under the Endangered Species Act. The proposal would be to issue a new single grazing permit for the Adobe Hills Allotment and Jackstone Allotment for 10 years. The new permit would be modified from the existing permit to include new terms and conditions. The proposal would also include range improvements designed to help achieve the new terms and conditions.
