The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is proposing to offer for lease a 191.25 acre nominated parcel of Federal minerals administered by the Oklahoma Field Office (OFO). Parcel 56 was one of six parcels nominated for inclusion in the June 2019 Oil and Gas Lease Sale. Additional details on the nomination process are described in the Oklahoma Field Office March 2019 Lease Sale Environmental Assessment (EA) (DOI-BLM-NM-0004-2019-0002-EA). Analysis for the remaining five parcels has not been included in previous documents. Therefore, a separate draft EA was created for those parcels (DOI-BLM-NM-0004-2019-0024-EA)
Parcel 56 is located in Dewey County, OK within acquired lands administered by the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and managed by Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation (ODWC) as the Canton Lake Wildlife Management Area.
