Project Description

Colorado Quarries Inc., is requesting an expansion of the Iron Mountain Quarry to secure additional aggregate reserves on approximately 37.69 additional BLM acres for a total of 46.89 acres of disturbed BLM managed lands. Approximately, 10,000 tons/year would be mined for 30 years; however, production would be based on demand and current markets; therefore, subject to change. The request for additional reserves would help sustain local aggregate material supplies for road management and landscaping in Fremont County, while maintaining similar production levels, hauling, and access.
