Rochat-Pine Creek Special Recreation Management Area (SMRA) Map Correction status report statement as of 2-3-25

The Coeur d’Alene Field Office is currently reviewing over 300 comments received. Comments regarding Resource Management Plan and/or Travel Management Plan amendments are outside the scope of this project and won’t be considered for edits or changes to the draft corrected map for this SMRA. Comments taken into consideration for map display adjustments are being evaluated in conformance with the 2007 Coeur d’Alene Field Office RMP. The Field Office will be conducting additional route verification inventories during the summer of 2025. This task is necessary to field verify the existence of some single-track motorized routes in and around the Crystal Lake Wilderness Study Area. Upon completion of field verification, the draft corrected map will be updated accordingly. Tentative time frame for the Coeur d’Alene Field Office to sign the Decision Record to approve, authorize, and publish the final corrected map should be late summer to early fall of 2025, after field verifications have been completed.
