Project Description

The BLM proposes to realign approximately 1,200 feet of BLM road 31-12-3.0 approximately 100 feet to the east. This section of BLM road is located within the Baker Creek Quarry boundary.  This project is being driven by ground subsidence issues that have occurred within the quarry boundaries following rock stockpiling activities. Realigning this section of BLM road 31-12-3.0 to the east will alleviate pressure and eventually decrease the load at and in the vicinity of the areas of ground subsidence.

What's New

The Coos Bay BLM, Myrtlewood Field Officed has signed the Categorical Exclusion (CE) and Decision Record for the Baker Quarry Road Realignment project. The project would ensure the continued access within the quarry providing rock for jetty repair. This project is appealable to IBLA through April 14, 2026. .
