Project Description

This environmental assessment (EA) documents the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) review of the Applications for Permit to Drill (APDs) from CIMAREX ENERGY COMPANY OF COLORADO. The project would access federal minerals and produce from the following lease(s): NMNM19848. The proponent has applied to drill 8 wells approximately 4.38 miles East from Loving, NM. The following associated infrastructure is proposed: 2 wellpads, 2202.42 feet of buried lines, 19450.82 feet of overhead electric lines, and 6966.19 feet of access roads.

What's New

ePlanning projects will not be able to submit comments via ePlanning during the shutdown from 1/15/2026 to 1/19/2026 but that the comment periods will be extended and that they can still submit comments in writing or via email.

This project has been extended to 1/26/2026 to receive comments. The window to receive comments after the shutdown is from 1/20/2026 to 1/26/2026.
