February 6, 2026 - The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Burns District is announcing the availability of the Bridge Creek Area (BCA) Allotment Management Plans Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) and Proposed Grazing Decision. Alternative 2 has been selected as the Preferred Alternative of the FEIS and is the selected alternative for the Proposed Grazing Decision. In accordance with 43 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 4160.1(b), the Proposed Grazing Decision documents the reasons for the action and references pertinent terms, conditions and the provisions of the applicable regulations. Selection of the Preferred Alternative will allow the issuance of a 10-year grazing permit(s), livestock grazing management, and range improvements, specifically Bridge Creek water gap extension, fence removal, fence construction, and maintenance of spring developments, a pipeline, and associated troughs. With the exception of the Bridge Creek water gap extension, which has been found to meet an exception to the Wilderness Study Area (WSA) non-impairment standard, all other range improvements will be constructed outside of WSA and Wilderness.
Starting on February 6, 2026, the public may protest the Proposed Decision within 15 days. Protests must be in writing, which is described in the Right to Protest and Appeal section of the Proposed Grazing Decision (see Documents).
