What's New

01/17/2025: The BLM has selected Alternative E as the Travel Management Plan for the Henry Mountains Fremont Gorge Travel Management Area. The Decision, Finding of No Significant Impact, and the Environmental Assessment with supporting documents are located under "Documents", "Maps", and "Map Data" on the left hand side of the webpage.




9/25/2024: A public comment period on the draft Environmental Assessment (EA) was held from September 25, 2024 through October 26, 2024. The BLM is reviewing public input received and developing the final EA.

The BLM held a virtual public meeting on October 9, 2024 using Zoom. Maps, including an interactive web-map, are available under the "Maps" tab on the left pane.

The BLM released the preliminary route designation alternatives for the Henry Mountains Fremont Gorge Travel Management Plan in May of 2024.The public was encouraged to review the preliminary route inventory and designations and provide input via this page. This public input period closed June 10, 2024. A virtual public meeting was held on May 28, 2024, where the BLM discussed the travel management area, planning process, proposed alternatives, and how to provide written comments. 

This website provides the latest information on this project. Throughout the NEPA process, this website will be updated to include background documents, maps, meeting announcements, published bulletins, and other documents as applicable. BLM will use the NEPA public participation process to satisfy the public involvement requirements under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) (54 U.S.C. § 306108) and pursuant to 36 C F R 800.2(d)(3).
