The 2026 Third Quarter Competitive Oil & Gas Lease Sale will be held on September 9 and 10, 2026, starting at 9:00 AM.
A preliminary list, or scoping list, of parcels is posted on ePlanning for a 30-day public scoping period (43 CFR § 3120.42(a)), along with the overview map and a ArcGIS© Pro shapefile. The intent of the scoping period is to receive public comments to assist in identifying resources of concern. BLM analyzes these concerns and uses them to develop a range of alternative management strategies.
