Project Description

BLM would renew A&K’ Earth Movers Inc.'s expired Desert Mountain mineral materials sales contract (NVN-099398) for up to five years or until the property is conveyed to Churchill County, whichever occurs first. The renewal would authorize removal of up to 300,000 tons of mineral materials from the existing quarry using established processes. Operations would continue within the previously authorized 200‑acre contract area, where 44.5 acres have already been disturbed. The renewal is intended to meet regional demand for mineral materials supporting local infrastructure and construction, consistent with BLM policy to facilitate timely development of mineral resources while safeguarding other public land uses.
