Public Comment Period - Draft Environmental Impact Statement
November 15, 2024 -- February 13, 2025
The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public comment on a Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the Purple Sage Energy Center proposed on approximately 4,424 acres of public lands in Clark County. If approved, the project could generate and store up to 400 megawatts of clean energy for the transmission grid.
The BLM intends to host one in-person and one virtual public meeting to discuss the Purple Sage Energy Center project: an in-person meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. PT on Jan. 14, 2025, at the Pahrump Nugget Hotel and Casino, 681 NV-160, Pahrump, NV, 89048; and a virtual meeting (register to attend via the link below) from 6 to 8 p.m. PT on Jan. 16, 2025.
A Notice of Availability will publish in Federal Register on Friday, November 15th to begin a 90-day comment period. Written comments may be submitted through the “Participate Now” function on the left side of this webpage (preferred) starting on November 15th; emailed to [email protected]; or delivered to the BLM Southern Nevada District Office, Attn: Purple Sage Energy Center Project, 4701 N. Torrey Pines Drive, Las Vegas, NV, 89130. The comment period ends Feb. 13, 2025.
