How to Get Involved
8/29/2025: The BLM has published on this website the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS), which is available for public review and comment from August 29 through October 6, 2025. You may access the DEIS, as well as the Supplemental Information Report and Supplemental Environmental Reports, by clicking "Documents" in the Dashboard on the left-hand side of this screen.
Public comments must be submitted by October 6, 2025. Comments may be submitted on this ePlanning website by clicking “Participate Now” in the Dashboard, or by mail to the address provided below. The most useful public comments provide specific and relevant information that inform the issues or alternatives to be analyzed, or that could influence the scope of issues or range of alternatives considered.
Written comments not submitted through ePlanning may be mailed to: Bureau of Land Management, Tonopah Field Office, ATTN: Silver Peak EIS, P.O. Box 911, Tonopah, Nevada 89049.

2/28/2025: The BLM will be holding two virtual public scoping meetings online via the Zoom platform. The meetings are scheduled to occur on March 18, 2025. The first meeting will begin at 2:00 PM Pacific, and the second meeting will begin at 5:00 PM Pacific. Members of the public who are interested in attending one or both of the meetings must register in advance. You will only need to register once, and you may then choose to attend either or both meetings from that single registration. The registration system will email the registrant a hyperlink that can be used to access and gain entry into the scoping meetings.
To increase public understanding of the project ahead of the public scoping meetings, the BLM has published on this website a project overview document titled "Silver Peak Lithium Operation Project: Supplemental Information Report, Proposed Action and Project Alternatives." This document may be accessed by clicking "Documents" in the Dashboard on the left hand side of this screen and then clicking on the document with the file name "20250227_SPLO_SIR_508."
The purpose of public scoping is to inform interested public about the project, as well as the analyses that are planned and the review processes and timeframes associated with those analyses, leading to the preparation of an Environmental Impact Statement. The BLM seeks input from the public regarding potential alternatives to the proposed action, as well as identification of resource conflicts or established land uses that should be given consideration by the BLM as it is conducting its analyses.
Scoping comments must be submitted in writing. You may submit your scoping comments either directly through this website by 1) clicking "Participate Now" in the Dashboard on the left hand side of this screen and entering you comments or uploading attachments to the system; or 2) mailing your comments to BLM Tonopah Field Office, Attn: Silver Peak EIS, P.O. Box 911, Tonopah, NV 89049. Comments will be accepted through March 31, 2025.
