The lead agency, US Army Corps of Engineers Alaska District, posted a Special Public Notice of Intent on January 26, 2026 to Prepare a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS). The public notice expires February 24, 2026 and may be reviewed here: POA-1995-00120_Donlin_SEIS_NOI.pdf

The Notice of Intent includes a project description information, background, and details regarding the 

U.S. District Court’s remand in Orutsararmiut Native Council, et al. v. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, et al. (Case No. 3:23-cv-00071-SLG) to evaluate the impacts of a larger tailings spill for Alternative 2 in this SEIS. USACE is requesting g public comments be submitted by the expiration date through one of the following methods listed below in order to be accepted. Comments may be submitted:
