January 7, 2025 - The Bureau of Land Management today issued its Record of Decision and Approved Resource Management Plan for the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument (CSNM ROD/Approved RMP). This approved plan will guide management of the monument's 113,500 acres in southwestern Oregon and northern California to protect and restore the resources, objects, and values for which the area was designated. Presidential Proclamations 7318 and 9564 identified the monument as a landscape of ecological wonder with unmatched biological diversity that provides habitat connectivity, watershed protection, and landscape-scale resilience for the area's critically important natural resources.
The CSNM ROD/Approved RMP and all other planning documents are available below.
The Proposed RMP/Final EIS is comprised of two volumes:
- Volume 1 contains the Dear Reader Letter, Executive Summary, Chapters 1 through 4, References, and a glossary and list of acronyms.
- Volume 2 contains Appendices A through T (appendices are listed individually as well for easier download)
The Proposed RMP/Final EIS Maps are also available for viewing and downloading in the Maps tab.
Additionally, check out the web-based interactive story map for the CSNM RMP here - https://bit.ly/CSNMstorymap.
