The 2026 First Quarter Competitive Oil & Gas Lease Sale begins on March 3, 2026, 9:00 AM.
BLM Wyoming received five timely filed protests for the March 3, 2026, oil and gas lease sale. Two submissions protest all parcels offered and three submissions did not specify which parcels are being protested. The resolution of the protests is pending.
Under regulation 43 CFR § 3120.13, you may protest the inclusion of a parcel listed in the sale notice. Further information regarding how to file a protest can be located on pages 9-11 in the Competitive Sale Notice.
The Public Protest period for the 2026 First Quarter Competitive Oil & Gas Lease Sale began on December 11, 2025, and ended on January 12, 2026.
The Public Comment period for the 2026 First Quarter Competitive Oil & Gas Lease Sale began on September 29, 2025, and ended on October 30, 2025.
The Public Scoping period for the 2026 First Quarter Competitive Oil & Gas Lease Sale began on July 7, 2025, and ended on August 7, 2025.
To the extent you submit exhibits or attachments to any submitted public comment, you must provide a summary of the attached documents, and explain why they are important for us to consider. If the submittal fails to include the requested summary, BLM may not consider any information in the exhibits or attachments during its decision-making process
